What is PDX Hunt?

Scavenger hunts built for people who'd rather get lost on purpose than wait in line at Voodoo Doughnut.

Each hunt is a self-contained little world: a themed route through a Portland neighborhood with clues that send you to places you'd never find on a guidebook list. Solve on your phone. Go at your own pace. Laugh along the way.

How It Works

Four steps between you and a really specific Portland story.

  1. Pick a hunt

Browse themed routes: bridges, bookstores, ghosts, food carts. Each one's its own tiny world.

  2. Grab your crew

Solo, date night, bachelorette, whole office. Hunts scale up to groups that can still fit on one sidewalk.

  3. Follow the clues

Open the hunt on your phone. Solve, walk, unlock. No download, no guide, no awkward tour microphone.

  4. Win weird bragging rights

Beat the hunt, share your time, go find a beer, and relish in your success.

Who's Running This

Three Portlanders with a knack for puzzles.

Portrait of Alyssa, co-founder of PDX Hunt

Alyssa

co-founder

Alyssa is everything you see of us before you ever book: the posts, the replies, the reason you're reading this at all. She analyzes behavior for a living and throws parties for the rest of it, which turns out to be the exact job description for making a city feel like a game.

Portrait of Jacin, co-founder of PDX Hunt

Jacin

co-founder

Jacin's the one who notices the weird plaque on the back of the building nobody goes behind. He builds the hunts: the routes, the riddles, the reason the third clue sends you somewhere that smells like donuts.

Portrait of Erik, co-founder of PDX Hunt

Erik

co-founder

Erik handles the technology and the operations, basically anything that has to keep working while someone's lost in Sullivan's Gulch. Will argue about coffee. Will find the bathroom nearest to wherever you are.

The Hunts

Hunts you can play right now.

Each hunt is its own little world: colors, mood, stories, and a route only Portland could hold.
